A Massachusetts style home in Point Piper, looking over Rose Bay and the Northern Side of the Sydney Harbour headlands.

The house, designed by a Scottish architect was in need to be restored, especially the steep slate roof, the shingle cladding and barge boards.

Additionally, an internal reconsideration of the spaces in a sympathetic way with today’s family was also crucial to make use of the available interior space, the views and the surrounding gardens and sandstone cliffs.

Some other improvements and amenities came into the wish list: such a semi indoor pool, a granny flat to increase rental income,  a new double garage, and the normalisation of the garden areas to improve access and presence onto the street.

The ultimate constraint was to determine the scope of the works so planning, design and financing were reachable to our client.
